Franco Columbu Gallery
Franco Columbu is an Italian bodybuilder (retired) and actor/stuntman.
Franco, being only 5'5", was one of the shortest bodybuilders in existence. Despite this, he had climbed to the top of the professional circuit to obtain the title of Mr. Olympia in 1976 and 1981 (succeeding Arnold Schwarzenegger on both occasions). The 1981 victory was gained in spite of a serious injury he suffered in 1977's World's Strongest Man competition, where he severely dislocated his leg.
Franco became known in America during the late 1970s where he performed strongman feats such as manually inflating water bottles, lifting entire cars, and being able to press 700lbs.
In addition to his cameo in The Terminator, Franco has had roles in other films such as Conan the Barbarian, Last Action Hero, and Red Sonja, all of which also featured Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Franco appeared as the Future Terminator in the original movie, The Terminator. In his scene, he infiltrates a resistance bunker, and kills numerous resistance fighters, civilians, and even the bunker's guard dogs.
